Online store Ozon’s turnover triples to 45.8 bln rbl in Apr–Jun

MOSCOW, Sep 3 (PRIME) -- The gross merchandise value (GMV) of Russian online retailer Ozon increased to 45.8 billion rubles in April–June, including value-added tax, the company said on Thursday in a statement.

“In April–June, the share of sales of sellers’ goods exceeded 50% of total turnover of the company, in June, for the first time, which proves a successful transformation of Ozon from a classic Internet store into a marketplace,” Ozon said.

Clients pick different categories of goods and buy more, the company said.

In January–June, the GMV increased 152% on the year to 77.4 billion rubles.
